Projects of 2014
Clean the Green
Clean the Green is an effort by the Student Government Association to establish a stable recycling program at FCHS. In partnership with the North East Georgia Animal Shelter, this program would establish paper, plastic, and aluminum recycling stations all across campus including the lunch room and at concessions during sports events. The paper would be used to help maintain animal bedding and such at the shelter and the other products would be delivered to recycling centers. This is a major undertaking considering there has never been a program to this scale used at the school. The planned completion date is by Summer 2014.
Outreach
The Student Governments Outreach Program is picking up steam. This includes directly connecting to the student populous through means of social media and email. We want to know the ins and outs of student needs and the only way to do so is connect. We encourage everyone to like us on Facebook, and follow us on Twitter and Instagram. Links to these can be found at the top of the page. As Franklin County is growing, this is a continued and on going process.
